Dream dated 04/21/2010

I had a very good dream last night. The kind that you only see in Quintin Tarantino movies, very vivid and colorful but with less gore, blood and action. The set up was in a Latin American country, might be in Mexico or Peru.

One of the scenes I remember was there was a wedding....two weddings I think. For the first wedding, I remember the bride to be wearing a white dress and a white veil. Underneath the veil was a yellow or bright gold cloth. I was one of the guests.

On the next scene I was with this Latin American guy and we were at a rooftop of some building. There were food stalls on the side and the dining area is in the middle. Local carenderia and sari-sari stores located on a rooftop!

The dining area has wooden long tables with washed out green paint. It was well covered by a steel rooftop. On the side of the rooftop, just beside the food stalls, stores and tables was the white wooden structure were vines could climb up. There were white light bulbs around the structure. The place would probably look romantic at night.

The Latino and I seem to know each other. We were there to have lunch. I bought a cigarette stick but unfortunately the cigarette stick broke in half. Fortunately, the Latino has a pack of Marlboro Light.

As one of the attendants approached me to take me to my seat, the Latino guy saw his friend (or relative) and made a secret gesture to just get along with whatever he is going to say with the guy. They spoke in a different language and whenever he would look at me I would just say yes or just nod in approval. Based on the little knowledge I have with their language, I learned that the Latino told the guy that I was his girl friend.

The next scene was a wedding. Apparently, based on the discussion of the Latino and the guy who joined us for lunch, I was forced to attend to a wedding. It was the wedding of a relative of Latino and I was his date.

The motif of the wedding was old rose. The girls are wearing old veils made of shiny
synthetic fabric with gold embroidery. Even the gown or dress are made of shiny old rose synthetic fabric with elaborate embroidery. I was wearing almost the same dress as the girls.

In the scene, we were already at the reception. We were seated in a very long table along with the bride and groom and the guests having lunch or early afternoon dinner inside a stone structure...looks like a church from the inside. It was made of big gray stones and the windows were really big. It was still daytime but I was so sleepy.

I know there were more scenes and events that happened after but unfortunately I woke up. It was a good dream because it felt like the ending of the movie was good even I was not able to see it.

Great to wake up in such a vivid dream.
