Love language

Last Tuesday my friend asked me, what is your love language? Love language? Ano yun? Tapos he explained to me na yung love language daw eh paano mo pinapakita ang pagmamahal mo sa iyong romantic partner. Eh siyempre na-curious ang lola nyo dahil pagdating nga sa mga ganyang bagay ay clueless ako, so sinagutan ko ang questionnaire na ito.

The love language test has 5 selectors: Quality Time, Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Touch and Gifts.

Quality Time--This can be expressed either through those intimate tete-a-tete discussions or via doing things together. It's possible to get a low score in this category because you have a strong preference for one form of Quality Time over another.

Words of Affirmation--You need to hear praise to know you are loved and you may also prefer to express your affection verbally. Negative comments cut right to the bone. You want to hear that you're loved and how much and why.

Acts of Service--You prefer to show your love through favors and chores and doing things for others. You feel put-upon and unappreciated when your efforts are taken for granted.

Touch--You want to give and/or receive affection physically. This may or may not center around sex.

Gifts--You are moved by presents and physical tokens of affection. It's the fact that someone is thinking about you enough to give you something that moves you. The objects are of secondary importance to the relationship and sentiment with which they were intended.

Well ang quality time natural na ata sa ating lahat yan pero ang Touch?

I was kind of surprised na nasa Rank #2 ang Touch kasi mas napredict ko na ang Acts of Service ang isa sa mga mangungunang selector dito. I'm always conscious kasi of my personal space.

Malalaman mo kung kumportable ako sayo kapag ok lang sa akin na hawakan ako o at kapag ako ang nanghahawak na sa'yo...ehem...hindi po hipo. Kumportable lang din ako sayo pag naaakbay mo na ako o kapag ok lang na ma-violate mo ang aking personal space.

Pero truly ang resulta ng Gifts kasi mega di naman talaga importante kung bigyan mo ako o kung ano ang binibigay mo basta nagmumula ito sa kaibuturan at kailalimlaliman ng iyong puso.

Dahil nga sa may pagka-sentimental akong tao, yung mga binibigay sa akin ng mga mahal ko ay talagang tinatago ko at iniingatan. Andyan yung nagpre-preserve pa ako ng mga bulaklak, nagtatago ng parking tickets o resibo sa restaurant na kinainan namin. Pinaglagyan ng kung ano mang binigay niya tinatago ko rin.

Naalala ko pa nga na binigyan ako ng crush ko na bulaklak ng sampaguita. Tinago ko siya hanggang sa nalanta siya at magmistulang abo.

Hmmm…mapagnilaynilayan nga ang resulta ng test na ito. Kung yun nga ba talaga ang aking love language.
