Hanging by a moment

I drafted this May last year just forgot to post it.


20 years ago, we were fighting for our rights and freedom from the oppression and suppression of the Marcos regime. hoping for a better tomorrow. hoping for a change in the system.

6 years ago, we were fighting for the truth and justice from the corruption of the highest government official to hold the sanctity of the government (or what's left of it after the marcos regime, if there's anything left). still hoping for a better tomorrow. still hoping for a change in the system.

Now, hope, I'm afraid, is dimming. I'd like to very optimistic about the situation of the country but in the past decades, there still hasn't been any major changes happened in the system. We are still the same. The same problems, different people.

Sometimes I even wonder, why the hell did I bother to participate in the Edsa II People Power Revolution only to be swallowed and run by different actors yet the same characters?

...and why the hell did i bother to vote in the last election when most of the candidates do was cheat?
